Hostels

Yenepoya Deemed to be University which houses 13 hostels in the pristine surroundings of Deralakatte, Mangalore offers world class facilities to its students. Separate hostels are provided for both men and women.

Zuleka Ladies Hostel, Gardyenia ‘B’ Block, Gardyenia ‘C’ Block, Ayesha1, Ayesha 2  and Tech Bay Mphasis( Jeppu) Hostels are for the female students whereas YMK1 Boys Hostel, YMK New  Boys Hostel, Gardyenia ‘A’ Block, Fathima Hostel, BRU Hostel, Hassan Chambers  and Tech bay Mphasis(Jeppu) Hostels are for male students of the University.

Due to COVID -19 pandemic the hostels were not occupied to its full capacity. All the Hostel rooms are furnished and equipped with basic amenities.PG hostels are air-conditioned, whereas, in UG hostels, air conditioned rooms are provided as per the personal request. The Hostels have attached dining halls, TV rooms, Wi-Fi facilities, RO drinking water, and gymnasium and laundry facilities. The hostels have a food Kiosk and coffee shop which is open till midnight. There are two recreation halls (one each for boys and girls) where students can watch TV. Students also have access to indoor games, snooker and table tennis in ‘Yendurance zone’.


Safety, security and health of the boarders are given utmost importance. Resident Wardens are always available and round the clock security of the hostel is monitored by security guards. CCTV cameras are installed in all the hostels for the continuous monitoring. Department of healthcare conducts pest control measures in and around the hostel periodically. Housekeeping staff are deployed to do the regular cleaning in the hostels. Faculty members from the Community Medicine visit the hostel periodically to assess the hygiene and cleanliness in and around the hostel. We, at Yenepoya Deemed to be University focus on the holistic welfare of each and every boarder. It’s truly a “Home away from Home”.
