Inauguration of Comprehensive Cancer Clinic & Telemedicine/ Patient Information & Guidance Center at Chinmayi Hospital, Kundapura

Comprehensive Cancer Clinic & Telemedicine / Patient Information & Guidance Center, an extension activity of Yenepoya (Deemed to University) in partnership with Chinmayi Hospital, Kundapura will be inaugurated on 28th January 2024. Mr. Jayaprakash Hegde, Former Minister of Karnataka, Chairman, State Commission for Backward Classes, Karnataka will be inaugurating the center at Chinmayi Hospital, Kundapura. Dr. Vijaya Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) will be presiding the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration will be graced by the presence of Mr. Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA, Kundapura Constituency, Anand C. Kundar, Industrialist, and Dr. Umesh Puthran, Medical director, Chinmayi Hospital, Kundapura.

In the initial phase the center will have an Oncology OPD, functioning every Saturday to cater comprehensive cancer care which will be managed by the doctors of Zulekha Yenepoya Institute of Oncology, in future Yenepoya Medical College Hospital may come up with other specialty OPD's. Further the teleconsultation center functioning all 7 days will help patients of the region to avail specialty and super specialty consultations through consultants of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Mangalore. The Information and guidance cell will provide all the details regarding the hospital facilities, documents, and formalities relating to various government schemes.
