Eligibility for admission:
To be eligible for admission in the Bachelor of Hospital Administration, a candidate should have
obtained:
A two-year Pre-University examination or its equivalent as recognized by the University with any
principle
subject of study. (OR) Pre-degree course from a recognized University/Board (two years after ten
years of
schooling) with any principal subject of study.
Candidate needs to secure a minimum of 40% marks in 10+2 (SC/ST/OBC minimum 35% marks)

Eligibility for admission
To be eligible for admission a candidate shall have obtained:
Bachelor degree in any one of the following - MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharmacy, B.Sc. in Allied
Health
Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Management from an institution recognized by
respective
council as applicable, and is affiliated to Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) or from any other
university established under law considered equivalent there to by Yenepoya (Deemed to be
University). The
candidate shall have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks in all the years of university
examination of degree course. In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates the minimum marks shall be 45%.
The MHA program focuses on four specializations:
Quality Management in Healthcare (QMH): Focuses on quality management principles in healthcare, covering regulatory compliance, patient safety, process improvement, and quality assurance. Students learn to identify improvement areas, implement quality initiatives, and measure outcomes to enhance care delivery.
Operations Management in Healthcare (OMH): Centers on efficient healthcare operations management, exploring workflow optimization, resource allocation, logistics, and capacity planning. Students learn strategies to streamline processes, maximize resources, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
Medical Tourism (MT): Provides a comprehensive understanding of medical tourism, including economic, cultural, ethical, and operational aspects. Prepares students to address the challenges and opportunities in the global medical tourism industry.
Health Management & Leadership (HML): Offered in collaboration with Charles Sturt University, Australia, this specialization enhances leadership and management skills in healthcare. Emphasizes healthcare administration, communication, and collaboration practices. The course is available online, with options for a graduate certificate or diploma, and access to globally renowned faculty and resources.
The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program prepares students for advanced managerial and leadership roles in the healthcare industry, equipping them with expertise in hospital management, health information systems, and strategic planning. Graduates can find employment in hospitals, healthcare systems, consulting firms, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and insurance companies. The MHA program also offers specializations, enabling graduates to pursue diverse roles such as senior healthcare administrators, quality managers, compliance officers, patient safety coordinators, healthcare consultants, hospital policy advisors, medical tourism coordinators, international patient managers, healthcare marketing managers, operations managers, healthcare logistics coordinators and resource planners.
