About Y-ENTRANCE 2025 - 26

The Y-ENTRANCE is an entrance examination conducted by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) to select candidates for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The examination is designed to assess aptitude, critical reasoning, subject knowledge, and English proficiency. It is conducted online, which is AI proctored, ensuring accessibility for candidates from diverse locations. A user-friendly dedicated mobile app (Android and iOS) or an examination portal is available for the candidates. For postgraduate programs, the entrance exam focuses on professional attributes and logical reasoning candidates

Conduct of examination

Mode of examination:
AI-proctored online examination, available on Android/iOS apps or through the Y-ENTRANCE exam portal

Duration of the examination

• Undergraduate programs: 90 minutes.
• Postgraduate programs: 60 minutes

Structure of the examination

• Includes aptitude, critical reasoning, subject knowledge, and English proficiency sections for undergraduate programs based on stream-specific requirements.
• For postgraduate programs, the examination shall focus on the professional attributes of the candidates for pursuing the program.
• The exam consists of multiple sections. Each section shall have Multiple Choice Questions with 4 options and 1 correct answer carrying 1 mark each (No negative marking).

Re-examination Option

• Candidates may attempt the examination twice for score improvement.
• Fee for the first attempt included in registration; subsequent attempts require additional fees of INR 500/-.
• Best score from two attempts is considered for results.

Results:
Scores are announced based on examination performance and the marks obtained in the qualifying examination conducted by the recognized state/central Government bodies as per the eligibility criteria.
