Centre For Substance Abuse Prevention
Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has set a definite policy on Substance Abuse Prevention and related issues as an expression of commitment in providing a campus experience that allows students to rise to their full potential without any hindrance. To spearhead the substance abuse prevention activities of the campus, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has established Centre for Substance Abuse Prevention with satellite units in all constituent colleges. Centre also give special emphasis on anti tobacco awareness activities and through the Tobacco Cessation Clinic; provide support to people in their tobacco quitting efforts.

- To spread awareness about the adverse effects of substance abuse
- To provide assistance in handling substance abuse-related problems
- To train the health professionals and allied professionals on the substance abuse prevention activities

- 9000 + people were given awareness on ill effects on Tobacco & other substances of abuse
- Developed Technology Assisted Awareness Modules to create awareness among school children

“Say No to Drug” Student Body:
To Ensure student participation in substance abuse prevention activities, all Constituent units have “Say No to Drug” Student Body with following composition
- One faculty advisor
- Two student representatives from each batch (one of them can be selected as group coordinator)
